Though I have always been interested in photography, it wasn't until my time in college that I developed working knowledge and proficiency in the area. My focus, as with everything else in my college career, was mostly sports.
Dirt Circus Film
I was part of a small group of students from the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism who brainstormed, shot and edited a short sports documentary about dirt track racing in Pennsylvania.

FIFA Women's World Cup
As a communications student at Penn State, I had the opportunity to cover the group stage of the FIFA Women's World Cup in New Zealand for the Associated Press. I spent a month in Auckland developing my abilities as a photographer and had my work published in various news outlets worldwide, in publications such as The New York Times, The Guardian, CNN, Estadão, etc.

Professional surfing has been a passion for many years, and it is what inspired me to seek a career in the sports industry. For the past few years, I've used my free time to travel to Saquarema to photograph the WSL event that takes place there.
